Grailed is the go-to marketplace for menswear, streetwear, and designer fashion. With a 9% commission and competitive processing rates, Grailed is more affordable than Poshmark (20%) and comparable to eBay (~13.6%). However, processing fees vary significantly based on whether you've completed Stripe onboarding and whether the buyer is domestic or international. Listing Fees

Grailed does not charge any listing fees. You can list unlimited items for free.

  • No insertion fees — completely free to list across all categories
  • No listing upgrade fees — all photos, descriptions, and features are included
  • No subscription tiers — all sellers get the same 9% rate
  • Listings remain active until sold or removed by the seller

Selling (Commission) Fee

Grailed charges a flat 9% commission on the total transaction amount.

  • 9% of total transaction — includes item price + shipping charged to buyer
  • The commission applies to shipping charges as well — this is an important detail often overlooked
  • No category-specific rates — 9% applies uniformly to all items
  • No volume discounts — the 9% rate is the same whether you sell 1 or 1,000 items

Payment Processing Fees

Grailed uses Stripe for payment processing. Rates depend on your onboarding status and whether the sale is domestic or international:

Stripe-Onboarded Sellers (US)

  • Domestic sales: 3.49% + $0.49 per transaction
  • International sales: 4.99% + $0.49 per transaction

Non-Onboarded Sellers

  • Domestic sales: 3.49% + $0.99 per transaction
  • International sales: 5.49% + $0.99 per transaction

Non-Stripe Countries

  • All transactions: 4.99% + $0.49

Completing Stripe onboarding saves $0.50 per transaction on the flat fee and reduces international rates by 0.5%. Over 100 sales, that's $50+ saved just from onboarding.

Shipping Fees

  • Seller-determined: set your own shipping price or offer free shipping
  • Grailed Labels: prepaid shipping labels available through the platform at competitive rates
  • Ship independently: use your own labels (Pirate Ship, USPS, etc.) and input tracking manually
  • Both commission (9%) and processing fees apply to shipping charges — important to factor this into your pricing
  • International shipping is available but increases processing costs (see rates above)

Refunds and Returns

  • Grailed handles disputes through their support team
  • Fees may not be fully refunded in all dispute cases — particularly payment processing fees
  • Chargeback fees may apply if a buyer disputes through their bank instead of Grailed's system

Processing (3.49% + $0.49): $110.00 × 0.0349 + $0.49 = $4.33

Total Grailed fees: $9.90 + $4.33 = $14.23

Your payout: $110.00 − $14.23 = $95.77

Example 2 — Stripe-Onboarded US Seller, International Buyer

Transaction total: $110.00 (same item)

Commission (9%): $110.00 × 0.09 = $9.90

Processing (4.99% + $0.49): $110.00 × 0.0499 + $0.49 = $5.98

Total Grailed fees: $9.90 + $5.98 = $15.88

Your payout: $110.00 − $15.88 = $94.12

Effective fee rate: 14.4% — ~1.5% more than domestic

  • Complete Stripe onboarding immediately — it saves $0.50 per transaction on the flat fee and reduces international processing from 5.49% to 4.99%. There's no reason not to do this
  • Account for fees on shipping — both the 9% commission and processing fees apply to shipping charges. On $10 shipping, that's roughly $1.35 in fees on shipping alone
  • Ship independently when cheaper — compare Grailed Label rates against Pirate Ship, USPS commercial rates, or other discounted shipping. Use whichever is cheaper
  • Be aware of international fee differences — international sales cost ~1.5% more in processing. Factor this into pricing if you sell to international buyers frequently
