Listing Fees

StockX does not charge any listing fees. You can place unlimited asks (sell offers) at no cost.

• No insertion fees — free to list asks on any product
• No listing upgrade fees — all listings appear in the same marketplace
• Asks remain active until matched with a bid, or until you cancel them
• You can adjust your asking price at any time for free

Seller Fees (Flex Fulfillment Tiers)

As of March 2026, StockX's seller fee is based on your seller level, earned through sales volume:

• Level 1: 9% seller fee
• Level 2: 8.5% seller fee
• Level 3: 8% seller fee
• Level 4: 7.5% seller fee
• Level 5: 7% seller fee

Higher levels are earned by completing more sales. The exact volume thresholds are adjusted periodically by StockX. Maintaining good seller standing (fast shipping, no failed authentications) also factors into your level.

Standard (Non-Flex) Selling

StockX offers two fulfillment methods — Flex (pre-ship items to StockX) and Standard (ship after sale). Key changes in March 2026:

• Standard seller shipping fee: increased from $4 to $5 (US only)
• Flex fulfillment $5 fee: removed in March 2026
• Flex seller fees: increased by 2 percentage points to offset the removed $5 Flex fee
• Net effect: for items over ~$250, the old flat $5 Flex fee was cheaper than the 2% increase. For cheaper items, the new structure may be slightly better

Payment Processing Fees

• 3% payment processing fee applied to the sale amount
• No additional per-transaction fixed fee — just the flat 3%
• Applied on top of the seller fee (7–9%)
• StockX handles all buyer payments — sellers receive payouts directly

Payout Timing

• Flex sales: payouts are nearly immediate after the sale since items are already pre-verified at StockX's facility
• Standard sales: payout is processed after the seller ships the item and it passes StockX's authentication — typically 7–10 business days total
• Payouts are deposited to your bank account or available as StockX balance

Shipping Fees

• Standard seller shipping fee: $5 per sale (US) — deducted from payout
• International shipping: varies by country and item category
• Sellers ship items to StockX's authentication center, not directly to the buyer
• StockX provides a prepaid shipping label for standard sellers

Authentication

Authentication is a core part of the StockX experience and a key reason buyers choose the platform.

• Every item is verified before being shipped to the buyer — no exceptions
• StockX checks for authenticity, condition, and completeness (correct box, tags, accessories)
• Failed authentication: the item is returned to the seller and may result in penalties including fees, account warnings, or suspension
• Items must be deadstock (new/unworn) for most sneaker and apparel categories
• There is no separate authentication fee — it's built into the seller fee structure

Refunds and Returns

• Returns are rare on StockX compared to other marketplaces — the authentication process eliminates most disputes
• Returns typically only occur for failed authentication or items that arrive damaged
• No buyer-initiated returns for fit, style preference, or change of mind
• If a sale is canceled due to failed authentication, the seller may be charged a penalty fee (up to 15% of the sale amount)
• Repeat authentication failures can lead to account suspension
